STATEMENT FROM JOHN KLINE: CONGRESS– John Kline issued the following statement today, announcing he is endorsing Republican Darlene Miller to succeed him in Congress: “Darlene Miller has the conservative values and real world experience we need in Congress, and she is the candidate that can win in November. As a manufacturer in Burnsville, Darlene knows what it takes to create jobs in Minnesota’s 2nd District and her experience and leadership is needed in Washington. Her leadership in the manufacturing industry has earned national recognition. In Congress she will help rein in federal spending, help combat the threat of terrorism, and get our economy moving. That is why I believe Darlene Miller is the Republican candidate who can and will win in November. I’m proud to endorse her candidacy.”

First elected to Congress in 2002, John Kline currently is the Chairman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. He also serves on the House Armed Services Committee. He previously served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the House Committee on Ethics. Last September, Kline announced he was not seeking re-election.
